I thought it was interesting that you were sitting through apologetic lectures at that seminary in Tacoma. Is the apologetics class an ongoing series? Can people come in partway? It sounds like something I’d love to sit in on … I’m not that far from Tacoma … Auburn, actually.

yes, you are right in saying its wrong to put animals first.
As you know animals are cuter and nicer than humans, most of the time, and they don’t talk back to you
But as a Christian, I am called to love people and care take of them, that’s part of a home engineer and a child of God’s job description. Which I do. But I volunteeer at the local humane society and have animals and I love the ones that ‘people’ don’t take care of and try to get them into homes of loving, caring people that will love them and respect them as companions to the human race.
Did you also know God made all the animals from dust, just like man?
I think more people should come to know God and strive to love Him every day.
So, as our commission in life, get out there and preach God to people you meet, Jesus Freak!

Also, how can you lead Bible studies if you yourself are just a babe in your walk? What can you lead with right now? I am not trying to be critical by any means. I just want to know how you can lead if you are fresh on the path.
If you still curse and do other sins as a bad habit, have you really been born again and are you really living for God? I invite you to explore what this verse means:
Romans 6:1-5
“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”
This, of course, doesn’t mean we will never sin again. That’s impossible. By being dead to sin means we are no longer sinners (or people who sin as a way of being). Little things, like cursing, just can’t be a way of life for someone who is living for God.
If any of these things bother you that I said, please mark that as a good thing because it stirred something in you. Why did it stir something? Please pray on it and seek it out. You might be surprised at what you will find.
Congratulations on starting to turn your life around and getting rid of your addictions. That is a great start. I just hope that you will seek out your own understanding of God (which will take quite some time) before you lead others in study…

Wow klk you are really messed up.
First you rebuke anonymously–you don’t link back to your own blog (though it seems you may not have one.) That’s a bad sign. I will respond to you only because I care about Krislinatin, but you are one messed up puppy if you think anonymous rebuke is in any way Biblical.
Second you misunderstand grace. While it would take a book to show you the Biblical doctrine of grace, I doubt even a book could cut through the shame and fear that drive you to be the person you are. More on that in a minute.
Third Kris chooses to live honestly–not just before God but before us as well. Because she is willing to talk about her struggles you condemn her. Would that you really knew Jesus and could see yourself honestly, let alone someone else.
Do you know how we can have peace when we stand before God? Not because we live free from sin, not because we have “accepted Jesus” or that Jesus has accepted us.
We have peace before God when we have lived in such a way as to give up our own lives for others. That how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us.
Why are you driven to do this kind of anonymous rebuke? You are full of guilt and shame. Your low self-esteem drives you to bully other people who are honest in their struggles to follow Christ and so to demonstrate to yourself you are somehow superior.
But once you malign and harm those who are attempting to follow Christ you quickly find your guilt and shame return. The fix doesn’t last long so you have to go out and do something else to build up the facade you attempt to maintain.
Most people who struggle with the kinds of things you do also struggle with secret sexual sin, a distant relationship with one or both parents and a rigid, controlling family relationship style. Christians who exhibit these characteristics often feel it necessary to inappropriately keep their children free from any sort of “worldly” contact, are overly harsh and unyielding in punishment and are verbally abusive to their spouse–whom they see as inferior.
While I don’t know how many of these in particular apply to you, I’ll wager more than a few of them hit home.

The only one that hits home is a distant relationship with my parents, but that is by choice. I choose to be distant because there is too much ungodliness that goes on in their house.

So that’s how I feel about who my family is.

I wasn’t trying to attack or criticize at all (as I stated in my second message). Shouldn’t we challenge one another’s faith? How else will we really know where we stand? If I see things in someone that will lead to destruction, it is very important to point it out. Even a little sin will ruin a person. After all, “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” (Yeast is commonly used in the Bible to represent sin).
I am not shameful or fearful in what I am bringing up here. I am stating what I know because I am proud to challenge others not to be too comfortable just staying the same and being who they are. We should be always changing and always heading down the narrow road to righteousness. That means it won’t be easy and many will fall off the path on the way because they like things to be broad, not narrow.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

WOW…first off, if we see a “problem” in a brother (Or sister’s) life or walk we are to go to them IN LOVE…and while I see what you are saying (sort of) I don’t see two things, first, you aren’t her brother and second this isn’t coming off in love. You have walked up to her door and blasted it off the hinges. She didn’t invite you in to tear her apart, she invited you in for coffee and to have someone to sympathize with if you are going thru similar trials, tribulations and troubles. Now if you are so high, mighty and perfect that you have no sin I would suggest that you take the plank of pride and religion out of your eye before mentioning the speck in your sister’s eye.

I like finding people I have things in common with. I homeschool my only child/son, a Christian since my marriage in 1995, a newly blogger addict, and I LOVE thrift stores.
